"Hi my name is Valerie. I’m a Nigerian illustrator born and raised in Geneva Switzerland. I often receive the question “Do you feel more Nigerian or Swiss?” My answer to that is that I am 100% of both. Geneva is my city and it’s riches are my birthright. Nigeria runs through my vains. It is my family and my history. Growing up, art was how I formed my identity. It was how I answered that question. So no, my art is not a mix between two cultures. My art is my culture. It is a testament of my journey and it is still evolving. "
