Noland Anderson’s Art is a celebration of people of color painted in detail using oils applied with loose brush strokes on textured canvas surfaces! The images of men and women being captured in the simple pleasures of everyday urban life. Born in Newport News, Virginia. Noland’s passion for figure drawing was formed at an early age, working in pencil, pastels, acrylics and eventually oils. After graduating high school Noland attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he received an Associate Degree in Advertising. Upon graduating he went on to work as a freelance illustrator designing Judaic art. Throughout the mid 90’s and early 2,000’s, Noland worked in television as the court artist for the ABC affiliate in South Florida and as an illustrator for Univision (an American media company serving Hispanic Latino Americans). Noland was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series, awarded Third Place in the 2017 Opus Art Exhibit, and received honorable mention in the Blank Art Space 2017 Color Art Contest.His exhibitions include; Art Bravo, Fort Lauderdale, Florida For Art Sake, Hollywood Florida - Hidden Springs Art Splash/ Parrilla show, Tampa Florida - Abstract Urbana Showing, Tampa Florida - Le Meridian, Tampa Florida - Opus Art Exhibit, Tampa Florida.
